Course
Athletes will receive two (2) preliminary runs on the full Ninja vs. Ninja course. These preliminary runs will be head to head races, but with each athlete running for an individual time and score (not winner/loser). FINA will take each athlete's best score on the course as the athlete's final score. Both of the athlete's preliminary runs will occur during the athlete's assigned wave time.
The top sixteen (16) athletes in each division after the preliminary runs will progress to the Ninja vs. Ninja Finals, and will return to run at the designated times below.
Ninja vs. Ninja Finals will consist of a double elimination bracket. Seeding will be determined by preliminary run results. Athletes will race head to head, with the winner of each race advancing in the bracket.
Ninja vs. Ninja Finals runs are judged as "fall and you're out." Once an athlete fails an obstacle, he/she must end his/her run. The athlete that progresses the furthest the fastest in the race will be the winner.
As this Ninja vs. Ninja Finals is a double elimination bracket, athletes must lose TWICE to be eliminated.
