Competitors from the hit TV shows (American Ninja Warrior & ANW Junior) come from all over the world and come together with local talent to tackle one of the largest and most difficult courses ever built.

UBW is very unique with inside and outside courses including an "over the water" course and "Rocky Mount Midoriyama" as Stage 4! We will have up to 5 different competitions running at once in 6 different course areas!  AND a 100' Rope Climb as a Grand Finale.

Competitors and immediate family from out of town can get FREE LODGING in the dorm rooms at North Carolina Wesleyan College by sending an email with total people staying to ultimatebackyardwarrior@yahoo.com. Or you can camp on site with your travel vehicle or tent.

Saturday Adult Stage 1 (morning and early afternoon) will also act as an Ultimate Ninja Athlete Association (UNAA) Local Area Qualifier for Pro and Amateur and Masters (40+) athletes. Top 50% in each category who have not already qualified for regionals will advance to Stage 2.

Saturday Adult Stage 2 (afternoon and evening) will also act as a UNAA Regional Qualifier. Top 3 or top 10% in each category will qualify for UNAA World finals. Top 60 (or at least 45 men and 15 women) of total Stage 1 & Stage 2 scores will also qualify for UBW Stage 3.

Saturday Kids is an Ultimate Ninja Athlete Association (UNAA) Local Area Qualifier for all kids categories based on their age as of August 1, 2018: 9 & under (6-9), 11 & under (10-11), 13 & under (12-13), 15 & under (14-15). Top 50% in each age group will advance to Regionals on Sunday.

Sunday Kids is a UNAA Regional Qualifier. Top 3 (or 10%) in each age group will qualify for UNAA World finals.

NOTE: These two courses will also serve as 2 of 4 stages for "UBW Pro-Kids" in the 12-13 and 14-15 categories

The best performances on Saturday will qualify for the UBW finals!

Sunday Adult Stage 3 (afternoon) will be our amazing "over the water" course. Top 20 (or at least 15 men and 5 women) of totals for Stages 1-3 will advance to Stage 4.

Sunday Adult Stage 4 (evening) will be our grueling "Rocky Mount Midoriyama" competition which makes climbing an 80 foot rope seem easy.

Sunday Adult Stage 5 will be the amazing 100' Rope Climb for finalists.

There is a group of up and coming Ninja Warriors who are ready to compete on Adult courses. These have competed on American Ninja Warrior Junior, or have been to the finals of at least one of the three big ninja leagues: UNAA, National Ninja League (NNL), or the newer Athlete Warrior Games (AWG). In the past, they had to make a choice between competing with the adults or going for the qualifiers in their own age group. That day is gone.

We are raising the bar on the Regional Qualifiers, using our adult Stage 1 (12-13) and Stage 2 (14-15) courses and giving these "Pro-Kids" an additional opportunity to compete on our two toughest courses.

Both of our Pro-Kids groups will get an opportunity to compete on our amazing "over the water" course on Saturday, with only a few slight modifications.

On Sunday afternoon, after their UNAA Regionals are over, the top 50% overall in each Pro-Kids category (at least 3 male and 3 female), will get to tackle Rocky Mount Midoriyama to battle for the grand prize.

Over $18,000 in prize money at stake including $4,000 for our up and coming "Pro-Kids"!

In the past, those who have never competed, whether kids or adults, could be a bit overwhelmed by the difficulty of our courses and the level of our competition.

On Sunday afternoon, while the elite are battling our toughest courses, we'll have a "Beginner's Challenge" course in cooperation with Mobile Ninja Warrior. This course is tough enough to be a real challenge for any beginner, while still being attainable.

This Event will Have Blow ups for Kids, Face Painting, Pony Rides, Music, Food Vendors and more. Bring lawn chairs, canopies, tents, umbrellas, sun screen, anything you would bring to a picnic. There will be live entertainment at various times throughout the day on our outdoor stage.

Must sign up to compete BEFORE Friday, May 24th. EXCEPTION: SPECTATORS, VOLUNTEERS, and SUNDAY-BEGINNERS can sign up anytime before the event/ticket being signed up for is ended.

All Participants and Spectators must sign our waiver at checkin.

Open gym on Friday is included in price for all registered Participants.

NOTE: Those who have already qualified for UNAA Regionals may choose to skip Area Qualifiers, but will not receive a discount or be eligible for any prize money

This will be our largest (up to 400 total participants) and most organized event ever, thanks to Ninja Master, Mobile Ninja Warrior and many others! We have six course areas and have set caps on non-Beginner Adults (200) and Pro-Kids (100) to help keep us pretty close to the schedule listed below.  However, all times are subject to change based on unforeseen circumstances.
