Ninja Warrior Competition
The
UNAA Comps Australia (AUS_UNAA) is is the Australian branch of UNAA (Ultimate Ninja Athlete Association). UNAA Comps Australia has three levels of competition: Local Qualifiers, Area Qualifiers (state championships) and a Regional Qualifier (Nationals). Competitors compete through the three levels to qualify for the UNAA World Series Finals.. We're excited to be hosting a Season 2 Local Qualifier at Mr Ninja HQ.
There are divisions for children starting at age 6 through masters division (40+) and every age in between. All divisions will be included in this event.

Our competition will follow AUS_UNAA rules and age/categories based on your age as of January 1, 2025.

- 15U, Masters, from 4pm Sat Feb 24
- Amateurs and Pro from 5pm Sat Feb 24
- 7U and 9U from 10am Sunday Feb 25
- 11U from 1230pm, 13U from 2pm Sunday Feb 25
Specific start times for each age group will be determined soon. However, there may be a limited number of contestants in each division to make sure each group can start at their scheduled time.

What is UNAA Comps Australia Local Qualifier?

UNAA Comps Australia holds Local Qualifiers (which qualify athletes to an Area Qualifier),
Area Qualifiers (State Championships, which qualify athletes to Regionals) and a Regional
Qualifier (Nationals, which qualifies athletes for the UNAA World Series Finals).
How many Athletes will Qualify for the Area Qualifier (State Championships)?
At our Local Qualifier, the top 3 or 50% (whichever is greater, rounded up) of ninjas in each
category qualify to compete in their area’s Area Qualifier (State Championships).
RULES:
The age date for categories/classes/divisions is based on your age as of 1 January 2025 to
align with season 10 of UNAA.
UNAA Comps Australia’s competition rules can be found here. Basic rules are listed below:
• Courses comprise 10-15 obstacles
• Up to 50% of obstacles can be worth 2 points
• Easier obstacles = 1 point
• Harder obstacles = 2 points (there will be a clearly marked halfway point worth 1
point for 2 point obstacles).
• 3 Failed obstacles = run over. You can complete your run until your time cap runs
out, but your official run will be over. Making the halfway mark on an obstacle is not
considered a fail, but a one point completion.
• No retries
• Courses contain a mixture of upper body, lower body and balance obstacles
• Courses will be revealed on the day
• Athletes with the most points in the fastest time wins
• Chalk & tape are allowed.
• Gloves are not allowed.
• If you did not complete the course, your final time is as of your last completed
obstacle.
CLASSES/DIVISIONS:
Age group is determined by the participant’s age on the 1 January 2025. Athletes 13+ can
move up to amateur or pro if they would like to. If you move from an age class to amateur
or pro, or from amateur to pro, you must remain in the higher class for the duration of the
season.
